The Friends of the library will have its fall book sale on Saturday, September 6th from 8am to 2pm at the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library located at 100 S. Church Street in downtown Clayton.
If you have books you would like to donate for this sale, please drop them off at the library during regular business hours. Children's books are expecially needed.
Children's author Ralph Burgess will be on hand to sign copies of his latest release, "Cool Calvin's No Bandanas for Me." Titus Pollard will be at the sale to sign copies of his newly released novel, "Living Right on Wrong Street," a 21st century look at Job's life. Also, Elisabeth Rodriguez will be available to sign her book, "Jumping Jack," which she wrote at age eleven.
Curious George and face painting will be available for the children. "A's Taters and Dogs" concession stand will be on-site to sell food and drinks.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to help build a new computer room for the library.
